Come watch this excellent new documentary on world-famous death-row prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal! It presents the recently discovered evidence that totally challenges the prosecution’s version of what happened on December 9, 1981, and exposes the lies perpetrated by the prosecution in collaboration with the police in their determination to kill Mumia. The U.S. “justice” system is determined to execute Mumia for standing up for himself as an innocent man, standing up for justice, standing up for investigative journalism, standing up for truth. This brand new film navigates the tempest of the original Abu-Jamal trial by reviewing the known facts of the case and it demonstrates the major violations in how the case proceeded against him.  Mumia’s case is one of the most important civil rights cases of our time.

After the film screening, JR Valrey, the Minister of Information of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC) will report on his recent six-hour interview with Mumia Abu-Jamal.

This event for Mumia is sponsored by the Labor Action Committee To Free Mumia Abu-Jamal.  The film screening will benefit Mumia’s Legal Defense Fund and help reimburse the filmmakers — producer Johanna Fernandez of Baruch College and Educators for Mumia and directer Kouross Esmaeli — who went into debt in order to finish this important film in a timely fashion. Mumia is scheduled to have a hearing November 9.
