Reweaving our Human Fabric

Presented by Miki Kashtan

Miki Kashtan, co-founder of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication (BayNVC) recently finished writing her book Reweaving Our Human Fabric: Transforming the Legacy of Separation into a Future of Collaboration. Although many steps remain before this book is published and out in the world, this is a key milestone and Bay NVC invites you to celebrate with her. Miki will read from her book, which includes stories from the future that describe in detail how things could be in a world designed to respond to human needs as well as ample information about how to live a life inspired by vision and commitment even now, in the world that we have.

Miki is inspired by the role of visionary leadership in shaping a livable future, and works toward that vision by sharing the principles and practices of Nonviolent Communication through mediation, meeting facilitation, coaching, consulting, and training for organizations and for committed individuals. She will be joined this evening by Marca Cassity, BayNVC’s own beloved songwriter who will share her music that has moved and inspired participants in BayNVC retreats for three years. And Lorraine Bonner, sculptor extraordinaire, is graciously bringing some of her sculptures to be on display for the evening.

The evening begins with potluck refreshments and social hour at 6:00 pm. Please bring your favorite food to share! BayNVC anticipates conversation, hanging out, and food sharing!
