Life on Earth 2

Presented by Florence Windfall

Florence’s talk this morning, in honor of the vernal equinox, will continue to explore the information that new sciences are giving us about Life on Earth, in particular  for this morning, climate change.  According to credible scientific sources, we are passed the tipping point and now climate change cannot be stopped.  It will be in full force by mid century.   It’s too late  to change climate change even if human beings stopped greenhouse gas emissions 100% from today onward.  Climate change brings with it a massive die-off of the human population.  In only a few decades, the climate is likely to revert to what it was 55 million years ago when a hot spike in Earth’s history lasted 200,000.  Florence will elaborate on the reasons  and evidence for this new thinking.

Our Sunday talks are accompanied by pot luck refreshments. Please feel free to bring scrumptious food, organic and local, suitable for brunch.  Our doors open at 10:30 am and this talk will begin at 11:00 am.
