Clean Power to the People

Presented by Zaigham Kabir

The Center for Progressive Action will be raising awareness this evening about energy choices for the East Bay. Last June, the people of California (through a free Facebook campaign) defeated PG&E’s $44 million power grab for total control of electricity in California, known as Proposition 16. Today, the people of Marin can own the local electrical grid that provides their electricity. It’s also possible that the people of Oakland could own the local electricity they use, replacing PG&E. Come and join with the Center for Progressive Action this evening to see how people of the East Bay can utilize wind and solar energy to power electrical grids in the East Bay and create green jobs at the same time. The featured speaker for the evening will be renown author and activist:

Norman Solomon
