A Day of Spirit, Ritual, and Community

Presented by Letitia Burton

Join this celebration of the indigenous Dagara people of Burgina Faso, West Africa, who live in a beautiful healing and community tradition! The Village, a diverse group of people trained in ritual healing practices, will share wisdom teachings and healing rituals within the Dagara tradition.  The Dagara community of Oakland bases its practices on the indigenous teachings of Malidoma and Sobonfu Somé of Burkina Faso, West Africa. The Village experience will be recreated through ritual, song, and stories.  Come and share healthy food and engaging music with old and new friends. The primary format is interactive and experiential, so please dress casually and comfortably.  And be sure to bring:

1) An open mind and heart

2) Objects suitable for a shrine

3) Healthy Refreshments to Share

4) Instruments to Play

5) Love Offering
