Monthly Meeting

This is the monthly meeting of the Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club (WDRC). The Club works to renew and reform the Democratic Party. The evening begins with a social hour and delicious potluck supper at 6:00 pm — bring your favorite healthy dish to share! At 7:00 pm the Club begins its program and all guests of the evening, members and non-members alike, are invited to participate in the discussions.

This evening’s program urges everyone to GET INVOLVED! Get involved in fighting back against the Republican/Conservative/Corporate agenda in California.  The featured speakers include activists from:

NO ON 23 CAMPAIGN
Don’t let the oil and coal industries stop California’s ground breaking clean-air/alternative energy act.

YES ON 25 CAMPAIGN
Let’s get rid of the onerous 2/3 rule to pass a budget and give the majority Democrats the power to pass a budget that doesn’t involve more devastating cuts to vital safety net services.

Learn how progressive groups, including our Wellstone Club, are organizing the critical get-out-the-vote drive for November 2nd.  Stop corporate CEOs from directly running our government! Deny Meg Whitman the Governor’s chair, and re-elect Barbara Boxer.

Come to this meeting and GET INVOLVED, now more than ever.

Also, the Wellstone Club will announce its endorsement votes on local candidates nominated at last month’s club meeting and report on the problems with electronic voting from the Voting Rights Task Force.
